No cute pictures, but I wanted to write this down before I forgot about them.
Allison's: We were driving to wal-mart the other day. We always drive by "U" hill (for those of you not from Vernal, it's the hill with the painted school letter.) She starts out saying "Mom, someone drew on that..." instantly I'm trying to think of something in the car that someone can draw on, the door, the window, I was trying to prepare myself. Instead of saying anything like that she goes on to say "that mountain." (So, all together: "someone drew on that mountain.") What a relief but how funny is that?! I just replied that who ever it was they must have a big pencil, and she agreed.
Matthew's: We were sitting down eating our evening meal, Matthew just makes this weird, blehhhk, noise, then says eeewww. Kevin and I just look at each other confused. He does it again, then instantly we figure out what he is doing. He is making a fake burp, then following it with a big eeww. What? Is that something that comes natural to boys?
Just so everyone knows,I have not taught my kids to do that, I don't encourage burps at the dinner table, so where he gets this I'm not sure. Maybe I need to go talk to Kevin about what he teaches the kids when I'm gone. He did it about three times in a row and just loved it, he thought it was hilarious.

So funny!! I love when kids make me laugh!!
ReplyDeleteI think burping is just one of those many, crazy things that come natural to boys! Cute!
ReplyDeleteI would go talk to Aunt Megan. She likes to teach kids to do things that their mom doesn't like. I could totally see Aunt Megan teaching Matthew to burp. if you need someone to blame, I would blame Megan.
ReplyDeleteThe burping is certainly a boy thing. Its not taught here either, but boy #2 was 5 mo old when he discovered it-and he LAUGHED and laughed. Then he kept forcing himself to burp and toot. I wondered for a long time what they were teaching in heaven before they came down. Now I wonder if this body experience is just so new and for some little boys those functions must just tickle or be funny. Anyway, my point--they don't need to be taught--they just do. :) Good to hear from you, by the way. Hope you are hanging in there with baby #3.
ReplyDeleteHMMMM, sounds suspicious. Funny though. My nephews are horrible at it!!! So far, we've been able to steer clear of it.
