First game of the year.

Allison had her very first soccer game on Saturday. It was so cute, funny, rainy, and great! The weather all week was cold. We were all looking forward to Saturday because it was supposed to be in the 60's. Well, like typical Vernal weather it changed. It was warmer then it was earlier in the week, but rainy. I even went to Wal-mart and bought an umbrella figuring that if I bought it, it would stop raining. That's how our luck usually goes. But, weird enough as it was for us, it kept raining. It was really more of a drizzle, so it didn't bug the girls at all.

Kevin and I were pretty excited for Allison's first game. We were talking that it could go one of two ways for Allison. Allison gets distracted very easily, so, we could see her being the one chasing butterflies. Yet at the same time she is very competitive. If we have a hard time getting her to do something by simply asking her. We have to challenge her, "Lets see who can get dressed faster, you or Matthew." for example. So, we could see her being very competitive. Well for the first game, I think she was just excited to be there. If it was her turn to sit out, she would try to sneak onto the field. If it was her turn to play, those of us on the sidelines, had to tell her to get back on the field. She is playing with her cousin Brynli which is great!! Whenever there was a pause on the field she was at Brynli's side with her arm around her. It was very cute to watch. Overall she did pretty good. I think with a couple more games and a couple more practices, she will get the point of the game. Our team won, not that we are keeping score. The other team actually kicked in a couple points for us. We'll take what we can get right?!
