Not for the faint of heart....

Since my mom was in the surgical room with us, she got some awesome pics of the surgery!! So, those of you with weak stomachs don't read on. I personally think it's pretty cool.

Here is my skin all pulled up in a weird skin stretchy thing. What the doctor is going at next is the uterus. But how cool is that? You can see clear in there.

Here is the doctor going after the baby. The uterus is open, and he is going after her head.

The head is delivered. That big round thing has my skin stretched all around it. My surgical wound is actually only about 5 inches long. Crazy huh!? Weird that it can stretch that far.

The rest of the baby is delivered.

The clean baby.

  1. Those are disgusting. I'm trying to hold down my lunch. I would much rather just see the baby after it is all said and done!

  2. I agree that is cool looking, but I don't think I could be awake knowing that all of that stuff was going on down there. I think I would pass out with the first sensation of any press or pulling - even if there was no pain. I must say, "you're the woman!!"

  3. I agree, she is so beautiful! I can tell you totally dig the surgery thing in a way I don't. I handled the pictures well, though. That is cool for you to have your mom be able to take pictures for you. And how great is that to have her be so involved! I would love to come visit you sometime-however we have chicken pox at our house and I'm trying not to go anywhere until that is over. Congratulations!!!! I hope you can get the rest you need.
