Party at grandma's house!

Matthew and I get to share the party at grandma's house. My birthday is the 26th and Matthew's is the 28. This year grandma had to work, so our birthday's actually were stretched out a little. Here we had cake and opened presents. The next week we had our birthday dinner. It's tradition on our birthday, that we get to pick what to have for dinner. However I didn't get out of doing dishes two weeks in a row. What a drag.



Matthew had a blast opening the presents. There were a couple of bags with tissue paper, he loved to grab that paper, throw it in the air and watch it fall. The presents that were in the bags were usually clothes, so he wouldn't stop at the clothes. They also were thrown and got good distance. He's actually winding up right now. (top picture)



Because of his love of "Cars", he got several "cars" toys. Grandma gave him a handful of the characters, we gave him several more. Megan had asked me the day before what Matthew wanted, I told her not to worry about anything "cars". She calls me later that night so excited with what they had found for Matthew. That should have been the give away. Matthew opened up their present, and it is two, very LOUD, noise making play guns. Megan and Mike are known for that. Giving away noise makers is their speciality. They have been threatened many times for paybacks but I think for some weird reason the rest of us all forget about it. I should have known with how excited she was that we were getting some. Just wait Megan, just you wait!!



Matthew got lots of cute clothes, fun for mom but boring for birthday boy.



Lovely me opening my loot. I've been low on my scrap book supply, so my mom and sisters helped out my stash. It was a lot of fun and I love it that Matthew is old enough to understand presents and whats underneath all the fun wrapping paper.
