The day after thanksgiving we decorated gingerbread houses, but used graham crackers instead. Allison did awesome with her house. The grown ups helped make the structure of the houses, but we let the kids decorate. I was very impressed with Allison's creative little mind. Maybe a little weird in a couple of areas, like snakes on the grass, but overall very cute. Allison even but furniture inside the house, that or she is really smart for her age and storing candy for later on.

Grandma Starr helped Matthew build his house. We didn't focus so hard on decorating the house, but the yard got covered. Then after the candy was placed in the yard, Matthew would eat it. Thus the picture of the food in his mouth. It was so much fun, even the older kids, Kevin and uncle Jay, built their own houses.

  1. Fun times. It means that Christmas is on the way. We love to do Gingerbread Houses too. I always thought it was cool when I was a kid when your family made them. I don't I had seen it done before that. Now we do it in our family. My kids love it of course. What kid wouldn't, right?

  2. I love decorating gingerbread houses. We used to build graham cracker houses, but the last few years we've made cardboard houses.
